Demand for Canada Vacation Homes Predicted to Increase
Posted by Wharzutility
As the Beijing Olympics is a big hit, the Olympics Games coming to Vancouver in 2010 is already awaited and is causing an increase in demand for Canada vacation home rentals in the surrounding areas. If we assume that the same number of visitors arrives in Vancouver in February 2010, there is actually a shortage of Canada vacation home rentals in the area and the cities near it must satisfy this short-term housing demand.
It is said that the 2010 Winter Olympics event venues spans 120 kilometres from Richmond, south of Vancouver, to Whistler, two hours away from Vancouver. At present, different proposals have been made to address this housing issue. As a matter of fact, according to estimates in January this year, more than 30 residents from Vancouver, Squamish, and Whistler are planning to have their houses rented by visitors for the 2010 Olympics.
Canada vacation home rentals in the periphery of the city are estimated to cost around Canadian $268 per bedroom per night.
For tourists, the increase in the number of Canada vacation home rentals is a good sign as it enables more people to watch the Winter Olympics, especially now with almost all prices increasing. Thankfully, most Canada vacation homes have more space and are usually priced lower than hotel rooms. [Vincenta Berkmansa]
